Job Role

The Consultant / Senior Consultant will be involved in supporting client facing engagements across clients in India and abroad, including:

  • Support procurement transformation engagements covering but not limited to:
    • Category management excellence, buying channel design and implementation
    • E2E CLM design and implementation
    • Smart buying enablement, guided buying design and implementation
    • Procurement GBS, Target Operating Model (TOM), process, governance design and implementation
    • Supplier relationship management framework design and implementation, supplier portal tool design, evaluation and implementation
    • Procurement analytics solution design and implementation
  • Current state assessment and improvement opportunities
  • Support with engagement management activities
  • Own the delivery / preparation of high-quality deliverables and manage service quality, brand and client expectations
  • Contribute to procurement knowledge development and management
  • Contribute to brand development by supporting Business Development, Thought Leadership and Industry connect activities
  • Ensure compliance to the firm’s standards, processes and policies
  • Support people development through guidance and feedback
  • Manage senior external/internal stakeholders independently

Professional Background

  • Graduation and 2-6 years of relevant experience post MBA – Consulting experience with Big 4 (preferred), Procurement Transformation / Global Business Solution / Shared Services Centres / Global Capability Centres (process excellence and transition)
  • Procurement experience in areas of source to contract, contract management and supplier management, preferably for indirect categories across sectors
  • Knowledge of current procurement trends and leading practices

Preferred Skills

  • Expertise in two or more of the areas listed – procurement transformation, sourcing, RFx process, contracting, commercial negotiation, contract negotiation, contract management, sourcing technologies and procurement outsourcing or centralisation strategies
  • Knowledge of sourcing and/or contracting tools like Ariba, Medius, GEP Smart, etc
  • Exposure to implementation of Guided buying tool / CLM tool/ supplier portal/ BI /RPA /OCR
  • Experience with different data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI
