Staffing an EV R&D Centre

Nascent skillset and a need for top quality talent leads to long hiring cycles owing to talent shortage and high expectations. We faced the same challenge with a luxury OEM trying to set up their EV R&D centre in India.
We deployed a contract2hire and a try before your hire approach to solve this challenge for them.

A LARGE LUXURY CAR R&D CENTER

Challenge: The Luxury Car OEM’s RnD center was scaling up its EV talent pool in India. Skills they needed were relatively scarce and new in India. Hence the onboarding time was getting longer.

Solution: Xpheno’s Engineering Services team took up the Contract2Hire Model. Try before you hire was our solution.

Outcome: We recruited the first 30 engineers, upskilled them in CAE, Design & Skills and deputed them. Many of the recruited Engineers eventually got transitioned as FTEs to the Principal OEM. Its been 2 years and the Car Maker continues to give us NPS Scores.
